Become a Friend

By becoming a Friend of Bees Abroad for £20 per year, you will enable us to support another family.  When you become a Friend you will receive a small welcome gift and be one of the first to receive our quarterly Newsletter, keeping you up to date with our latest work and events, you will also receive a copy of our annual report.

Make a one-off donation

Alternatively, make a one off donation of an amount you can afford.

  • £15 will provide materials to make one Top Bar Hive.  This will last for many years and provide a family with vital nutrition and the income from selling honey and beeswax.
  • £30 will provide the above plus a smoker and the equipment necessary to market the honey products.
  • £100 will enable a recognised village leader to attend a residential beekeeping course for one week at an Agricultural College.  This person will be a valuable asset to their community and as a trainer is an intrinsic part of a Bees Abroad project.

Clubs and associations

If you are an association, club or Institute you may like to make a donation of £50. Larger donations can be made to specific projects – you could sponsor a hive, or your group could be twinned with, or sponsor a project. Invite one of our speakers who enjoy talking about our work.

Adopt Bees Abroad as your Charity of the Year. We would be pleased to provide a speaker to encourage employees to raise funds by running a sponsored event, employee match funding or maintaining a collecting tin. Why not adopt a project and we will include your logo and link on our web site to help promote your fundraising efforts.

Leave a legacy

Leaving a legacy in your Will is a tax efficient way to make a Gift, not only will benefit Bees Abroad, it could benefit your family and friends too.  If you would like to leave a legacy, it can be as simple as adding an extra line in your Will. There are different types of legacy, so it’s worth contacting your solicitor for advice.
