Thank you to all who supported and joined in our World Bee Day celebrations. Froma Luncheon at the Wax Chandlers Hall, school bake sales, beekeeping events, to the Prize Draw with donations from companies including Fortnum & Masons and Royal Lancaster London.
Together, thanks to all our supporters and donors we raised over £27,000 to support our projects!

World Bee Day2022
On visiting the Vatican, leading up to COP26, The Archbishop of Canterbury presented Pope Francis with a Bees Abroad beekeeping project in Tanzania. Highlighting this practical initiative to both alleviate poverty and help the climate.
In the lead up to COP26 meetings, they signed an appeal about caring for our common home. As Archbishop Justin has said,
“We have to act. And the action is action in development“

It is our honour to have The Master of the Wax Chandlers as a Patron of Bees Abroad. To mark their 650th Anniversary, in 2021, they held a celebratory banquet in the City of London’s Guildhall. Every guest was given a Bees Abroad BeesWrap made by the ‘Upendo wa Mama’ albinism women’s group in Tanzania.
