John Home, Chairman of Bees Abroad (2009-2015), writes about his life as a Beekeeper and Bee Farmer. Stories about his early career and progression to running Fosseway Honey as a commercial enterprise. John is a gifted beekeeper and role model for young people whom he has trained in the UK and Africa in the skill of beekeeping. John’s hands-on approach to learning is very successful in Kenya, where he enthuses all ages with a passion for beekeeping and leads by example about how to run a beekeeping enterprise. Over 950 communities in rural Kenya continue to benefit from John’s ability to transfer skills to build a sustainable income through beekeeping.
