We are a friendly small charity improving lives through beekeeping. We work in Africa with local delivery partners providing training and all essential equipment to enable groups in the poorest of rural communities to become beekeepers. The money they earn from the sale of honey pays for education, medicines, and household essentials.
The main role of our administrator is working with and supporting all the activities of our fundraiser. You must be self-motivated, well organized, committed, comfortable with remote working, and full of initiative. You will probably have experience in supporter management and communication and online fundraising. You will be very familiar with Office 365.
You will also be the go-to person for our volunteers and trustees, who are familiar with our systems and processes and be ready to help them.
The role is part-time but flexible normally with two days per week. It can be a home-based or based at our office at Wotton-Under-Edge, Gloucestershire.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining our database of supporters (we use Salesforce)
Maintaining our Gift Aid records
Producing newsletters (we use Mailchimp)
Dealing with Emails, ‘phone calls, and correspondence
Receiving, recording, and passing on requests for new projects
Refreshing our website using WordPress with current information and news
Taking minutes of trustees meetings
Maintaining our register of members
Coordinating the production of our annual report
Supporting our volunteers with ad hoc activities
We hope the administrator will contribute to the development and improvement of the way we work helping us become more effective, grow and develop.
Our current administrator is retiring after more than a decade of outstanding service and will be pleased to train you.
